That is quite right Kent. You should not beat yourself up if you are unable to make it to the qualifiers. I am not sure about the Barbados results. I will post as I hear more of course.

I received the following information from Dr John Reade today.

I am sure players will be delighted to hear that £2,000 ($3,059.78 at the current rate of exchange) has been taken from the Gene Lindsay legacy for the first three prizes in each section of the 2015 qualifiers. Best of luck to all players.

I found standings here (hopefully link works?)

It was a good day for Barbados, with Ron King and Colin Price leading with 7 points. Ron won a game from Jack Francis, but Jack came back and has 5 pts. I am third and will play Bashim Durdyev tomorrow. Michele Borghetti has 5 pts and won a game form Lubabalo (only 3 pts). M. Bernini has 4 pts. As for other Americans....Jim Morrison and Paul Bryan continue their "US National" trend of playing all draws.

Bashim has 5 points. I am solo 3rd and dropped down to play him (rather than play Borghetti or Francis) the way the pairing fell.

Seems like everything working in Ron King's favor so far. Miki with a very hard draw in the first two rounds, and Colin Price comes a bit as the greatest surprise so far. McCosker, Morrison and Bernini draw-locked...

A very strong field. Lubabalo probably already without any chance, Richard Beckwith in striking distance. Ron scored an important victory over arch-rival Jack Francis, and Miki again victorious against Lubabalo Kondlo.

Any results in the Women World Championships ? As far as I know defending Champion Nadiya Chyzevska and former World Champion Amangul Berdiyeva are attending as well as Turkish Draughts Women's World Champion Vitalia Doumesh and probably a few more common names.

4th round was bloody and nicely mixing things. Absolutely everything is in clouds now and approximately 8 people (at least) have real chances to win event.

Richard Beckwith (USA) and Ronald King (Barbados) are leading the field (assuming 2nd game draw) with 11 points, but 4 more people are inches (1 point) behind - Colin Price (Barbados), Michele Borghetti (Italy), Lubabalo Kondlo (South Africa), Bashim Durdyev (Turkmenistan)

King-Beckwith ended with two draws, so King and Beckwith now on 11, Borghetti, Kondlo, Price, Durdyev on 10, Francis and Bernini on 9.

Too close to call. Remember: in case of a tie, the Sonneborn/Berger will decide who is ahead by a nose.

So far Honor Points (HP) advantage goes to Richard Beckwith and Michele Borghetti who scored a win against leaders. Ron King HP and Matteo Bernini are neutral and Lubabalo Kondlo, Colin Price, Jack Francis and Bashim Durdyev have weak HP.

From 8 leaders country presentation is as following:

Barbados - 3
Italy - 2
South Africa - 1
Turkmenistan - 1
USA 1
