What do you like about checkers?: Much!

Great 6th Champion!

Post by Richard Pask »

Two things, among several, which qualify Alex as a great world champion are his high degree of activity and his excellent book: '6th'. This presents the game in a most healthy and positive (and accurate) light, as one which is very much a 'live' issue; emphasising the breadth and depth of the game. For me, '6th' scores 10 out of 10.

What do you like about checkers?: I enjoy learning more and more as i go. despite its alleged simplicity the game is incredibly complex and rewarding.

HOWZAAT and now we have the Seventh World Champ in Miki............

Its been a good week for Europe the Lions won test against Australia first time since 97.France won the Ladies Title in Tennis and all the 4 finalists ladies and men were Europeans...................!!!
Tommy i was bitterly dissapointed on the Lions win , it serves Australia right for putting on a Kiwi coach... but considering that more than 3/4 of the lion's team on the night was Welsh and there was only one irish player, one scottish and 2 english in the team i don't feel too bad. :)

Sexton, Bowe and O'Brien played in the 3rd test. O'Connell, Heaslip and O'Driscol played a major part in the series win.

Congratulations to Alex and Miki for providing such high quality draughts during their 10 day epic battle, it was a pleasure to watch (thks John Acker and Italian officials)
