True, but you can imporve things after you join ACF. ACF is not from other planet - it's us. You can organize NY & NJ events and many will come. I played in NYC in 2005 - it was fun and enjoyable.Bobby_Loewen wrote:that sucks

Do carpool with few other checker players. It's about 16 hours driving from NYC but you will stay in IL for the whole week - good vacation deal.Bobby_Loewen wrote:i actually want to attend the nationals....but illinois is quite the bit out of the way
32 hours driving (both ways) - 6 tanks of gas. As of today with average $2.50 per gallon the total cost of round trip will be approximately $200-$250, or $50 from everyone. Share rooms with buddy - another $150 expanse for everyone. Thats all.
Rest of your vacation money go food and beer !!!
Ohh ... I almost forgot - you can still win some money prize which will minimize and erase even this miserable sum !
Have fun and hope see you there soon. It's all in your hands - make yourself a day (actually - week haha)
Regards,
Alex
I am playing checkers, not chess.
