There might another motivation here ... life is hard and life is short, time is running fast and always in wrong directionsJohnAcker wrote:a donation of $20 or more will get you an annotated copy of selected games from the tournament, but any amount will be much appreciated! And making room for $20 is easier than you think: forgo your morning latte for a week (disclaimer: the ACF is not responsible for disgruntled co-workers), enjoy a family meal at home instead of going out or ordering pizza, or even just bring a sack lunch to work for a few days
There are many answers on this question, perhaps most common answer is: "I raised kids and leaving them to this world". This is true indeed but not a full true, otherwise a human society progress would stop and the world today would be at the same level with not much difference as 40,000 years ago.
Perhaps we should change a question and ask ourselves: "what did i do to improve this world and make it better ?"
And if you donate to ACF NAtional 2010 Richard Fortman Tourney - you will always have a good answer on this question. After many years since tournament come and gone you can proudly say to your grandkids - I was a valuable part of this party !
I am afraid my statements are a bit over pathetic
In addition to John offer I propose:
1) Print names of ALL contributors in slected games booklet.
2) Sign a title list of booklet by ALL players of all three Disions, which should give us in total 80-120 signatures and perhaps occupy few pages ! Copy of this title list will be a part of each booklet.
Respectfully,
AM
