ACF National 2012.
Started packing things, leaving earlier in the morning tomorrow. Today I've got a call from reporter of one TN Newspaper about Mr. Burton and we had a nice conversation. Article must be in newspaper soon.
Richard Beckwith told that due to limited vacation, job and checkers commitment, he can't play in Lebanon which is very pity for him and all of us. But participation in Lille and Beijing is important and crucial.
However it seems like we still should have very strong field and hopefully turn. Frank and Mary davis are very experienced referees which guarantee us event should run smoothly without problems.
My only concern is - air condition in small room where we always play TN State event.
See you all there. I was lucky to win 3-moves National in 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2010 and was 2nd in 1998 and 2006. I continue working on this record and will definetely try to improve it if luck and opportunity arise.
Ron King shall be there and rumors say that Lubabalo Kondlo (SA) also may show up. As stronger - as better. There is only one way to prove pudding - eat it !
Respectfully,
A. Moiseyev

I will be there to, and am prepared to make my appearance in the masters. I am sad to know that Richard B won't be there, but I wish him luck in Lillie.

Something is wrong with many of the links for the 2012 National.

It's going to be an excellent, exciting event, one of the best Nationals I played in the past years ! I saw today in the lobby showup Ron King (we both participated in closing ceremony of Youth Division), Jack Francis, President of Barbados Draughts Federation (he will play in Majors), Earl Morrisin from Canada who played last time in ACF National in Las Vegas in 2004.
I saw also Alan Millhone with ... yes! - Lubabalo Kondlo from South Africa.
North Carolina desant
included at least 8 players from different divisions, leading by Tim Laverty.
Alex Holmes told me privately that he will play in Major Division and I beleive this is a serious "adult decision" and I fully support it and agree.
For Lubabalo Kondlo this tournament will be an excellent opportunity to get trained in 3-moves before Sport Accord event in December where he should play with me, Suki and winner of QT in Lille.
John Acker is doing an excellent job and we should have on coming week much more life stream videos and professional results coverage.
All for now.

Jack Francis in majors? Isn't he a grandmaster? I know he is a stronger GAYP player, but his rating is too high for majors.
I want to say, I am pleased that Alan M took my message seriously and is going to play down in the majors. Why? Because he is a strong player and it would make for a strong majors field with him and Alex H and maybe John Acker and Frank. This will also create a very strong masters division where I could be arguably the weakest player. Things are looking good so far, but maybe not necessarily for me.

I wanted to say that there are three guests from Barbados:
Ron King - play in Masters
Jack Francis - plays in Masters
President of Barbados Draughts Federation (don't remember exactly his name) - plays in Majors

Re: ACF National 2012.
Master Division turnout get stroger and stronger. So far we have Jim Morrision show up, Larry keen, Joe Schwartz and Richard Hallet. Expecting John Webster any minute. Meeting will be held soon and at 1:00 PM play resume.
This year we entry fee in Master Division $80 and I anticipate alot of benefits and perks from this haha
And one of them - playing in two rooms if total number of players in 3 Divisions hits 50.
This year due to rating, Master Division lost Alan Millhone but we've got two debutants: Joe Moore (never played in 3 moves National Masters) and Teal Stanley (also never played in any National Masters).
Great turnout in Master Division and great, tough competition in all Divisions.
More later ...
Regards,
ALEMO

Arguably this is about the most brutal masters division in years. My goal is to not finish in last place

Re: ACF National 2012.
I totally agree with Joe - this is one of the most toughest 3-moves National Master Division in the past several years I attended.
Finally John Webster get it and Harvey Kelley signed in Master Division, we have in total 14 players - the strongest annual tournament event, stronger than Lille I beleive !

John, You have done excellent work here. It is good to see so many young, strong checker players helping out whereever they can. I commend John Acker, Eric Strange, and many more young , strong checker players too numerous to mention.
