I would agree with that. There are many out there who think they can beat the 7-10 also. However, I feel confident that it can be drawn.

At move 5, you can draw with 1-6, 7-10, or 16-20. 8-11 is a definite loss. I haven't checked the remaining choices carefully, but they probably lose.

Although weak, I believe 9-13 can draw also!

Hi Tommy,

I am assuming you mean 29-25 for the fifth move since no piece in on 25 yet. After that I would reply 1-6 for the time count. Just for the record, 9-13 is questionable but I think it can survive barely. Of course, 7-10 is much better play.

Belay my last. I found a move to crush the draw I had in mind. Kinda glad you played 25-22 instead of 27-23, gave me a different perspective. Thanks Tommy

Hi Vic...................Yes the movement /timing of the red play is very important even at this early stage. In my book on these openings i left out 16 A4 pages for this opening alone and could prob do another 6-7 if i was to revisit it now. Altho its not regarded as a particularly difficult ballot compared to some of the NEW ones it has a wide range of possibilities considering the difficult single and double Dyke lines that may feature later if red obliges.
