Re: Kingsrow Help
Hi Igor,
This position still has 24 pieces on the board and is too early in the game for kingsrow to know the result with any certainty from a single search. A search to depth 29 gives a score of -16. I can put the opening book generator to work on it, and perhaps after a few hundred searches it will be able to propagate a reliable result back from more advanced positions.

Re: Kingsrow Help
Igor, white has better position after this pitch, but it is a draw, if plays correctly by both sides. I played this on Internet at the end of 90's, but due to the weaknesses of position after pitch, later decided do npt use it.
All white needs to do - play 22-18 and later 31-26. After then red has very delicate man down draw. Recently several players tried with me this line on Kurnik, and I won with white all games, except ones where my flag failed
This line os covered in SIXTH

Re: Kingsrow Help
Alex, after reading your comment about a pitch, I looked again and see that there is an error in the move list given by Igor. When I pasted the list into CheckerBoard and played forward to the end, it stopped at 27-24 because the next move in the list, 19-15, is not legal. Igor, what move did you want after that?

Re: Kingsrow Help
It looks like my first attempt to paste the game into CheckerBoard didn't work because the 'from' and 'to' squares were transposed in black's 5th move. It should read "15-19". KingsRow agrees with Alex, the position is a draw.
