See position on
Diagram #1. Here white had an excellent chance to make it much easy and faster and even creating some problems for red by playing 18-15* 1-6, 15-11* and now 3-7? loses after 22-18, 7x16, 29-25 etc and 3-8 (instead 3-7) is draw with care for red after 19-15, 10x26, 22-18, 11x18, 17x1, 15-19 (26-30 is weaker), 31x22, 19-24 Draw
Instead 18-15, Igor played on
diagram #1 22-17, 9-13, 18x9, 13x22, 23-18, 4-8, 32-28, 8-11! and we reached position on
diagram #2. Poisen trap ! Of course taking a man (as Igor played) is leading to very weak ending and simple trade 19-16, 12x19, 27-24, 20x27, 31x6, 1x10, 9-5 cleaned the board and drew the game.
After 19-15?, 10x19, 27-24, 20x27, 31x8, 12-16, 8-4, 22-26 we reached position on
diagram #3. Not an easy draw was still available here after 18-15 (or 21-17 first) and later giving man back. Instead, Igor played 9-5? on
diagram #3 and lost the game.

P. Faleo vs V. Shafir, G1
22-17 is absoluely OK here giving white an even game, but 26-23?? as played in the game, was catstrophic disaster after 19x26, 30x23, 2-7, 23-18, 14x23, 27-18, 15-19 etc RW

U. Hydyrov vs F. Kareta, G2
Actually red has better position on
diagram #1 and should play 16-20, 31-26* (the only move to draw), 1-5, 19-15* (the only move to draw), 12-16 etc Draw.
Instead 16-20 on
diagram #1, red played losing 6-10? 14-9, 10-15, xx, 9-6 and after several moves reached position on
diagram #2. Here white played 10-14??, 16-19 etc Draw
Red to move.
G. Owens vs R. King, G2
8-11 is weak draw here, 14-18? as played in game, loses.
White to move.
J. Morrison vs J. Jolliff, G2
So far noone made critical error. Strange position, looks like an easy win for red. White played here 28-24?, 20x27, 31x24 and lost after 32-27, 24-20, 6-10, 15x6, 1x17, 21x14, 7-11* RW. However in position
diagram white still have a prety escape by 31-26*, 32-27, 21-17*, 27-31 26-22*, 6-10, 15x6, 1x10, 14-9 and red can't win.
Red to move.
R. Beckwith vs D. Oliphant, G2
Noone missed anything in this game, just potential better play. Richard played here 6-9, but 5-9 looks better in my eyes because after 6-9 white can play powerful 24-19 forcing red to make few star moves. After 6-9, 17-13 ... 1-6 is also stronger then 10-15 as played in the game.
Red to move.
I. Martinov vs M. Borghetti, G2
Well known position in PP, where 11-16 is correct (1-5 also draw) bbut Igor played 3-8? and immediately lost after 23-19 etc WW
White to move.
Bashim Durdyev vs S. Scarpetta, G2
Red previous move was 2-7?. In first game Sergio played correctly 14-18 to stay away of troubles. 2-7? prehaps confused him for second and he played 22-18 which OK against 6-10 or 3-7. But after 2-7 (see postion on diagram) Serigio had much stroinger 30-26** which should win the game.
Red to move.
V. Shafir vs P. Faleo, G2
Red played very weak 8-11? and lost after 17-13, 2-6, 25-22, 14-17 (14-18 coud survive), 21x14, 9x25, 29x22, 5-9, 26-23, 10-14, 19x10, 6x15, 13x6, 1x10, 31-26* WW
I am playing checkers, not chess.
