Jay, all I know - Scottish grandmaster William Docherty is very busy this year with his new degree. He sent to me and John Acker an excuse letter several months ago saying that he can't travel to USA and play in USA Richard Fortman National and 11 man ballot World Title Match, which definetely are not very good news for checkers, but better for William and makes him more comptetitive in very hot job market today.Jay H wrote:Alex
Have you, or anyone else heard any more word on whether or not Docherty will attend this year's ACF 3-Move National.....and/or his Challenge for the 11-Man Ballot World Title.
I am uaware about William plans to play in QT 2010 in Ireland, but seriously suspect that this also could be on hold until next cycle.
Only William can prove or disapprove these rumors.
