J. Morrison vs S. Scarpetta, G1
1-6 here is correct with following (sooner or later) 15-18. In position on diagram Jim played 14-18 ?? and immediately lost by pretty shot 31-27, 2-6, 19-16 (the true is that boring 26-23 wins too) 12x19, 26-23, 19x26, 30x7, 3x10, 20-16 etc WW

U. Hydyrov vs J. Tikhy, G1
On diagram #1 last red move 8-11? was incorrect, allowing white to score scientific win after 25-22. Instead, white played 25-21 and game went into drawn path for long time until position on diagram #2. here we had 11-16 ?? (19-23 draw) 17-13 ?? (32-27 win) 19-23 to draw.
White to move

J. Jolliff vs S. Thrane, G1
There were more errors in this game at earlier stage (for instance 24-20 instead 24-19 should win) but this one is most interesting and attractive. 17-22 as played in the game, loses by 28-24*, but 11-16 in position on diagram should win the game.
White to move

G. Owens vs P. Faleo, G1
I think we should start it from this point, nice midgame masterpiece. With hole on 2 it is always a good thing to keep trading column 32-27-23 in place. 26-23 is correct.
White played here losing 32-28? which breaks this column. Now it was red turn to screw things. They played radical 16-19 allowing white nice escape. Instead 16-19, excellent waiting 7-11 leads to immediate catastrophic disaster for white position.
From position on diagram: after 32-28 16-19 game continued 27-23, 19-24, 28x19, 15-24, 12-8*, 3x12, 26-22 etc Draw
White to move.

M. Borghetti vs R. King, G1
Ironically, this is exactly the same position which I had against Lubabalo Kondlo in USA National 2012 in Lebanon TN, couple weeks prior QT in Lille. Strange enough, both outstanding players Ron King and Lubabalo Kondlo played here losing 26-23??, 7-11, 23x7, 16x23, 27x18, 15x22 etc RW.
26-22 instead 26-23 is correct and enough for draw. After the game Lubabalo asked me: "Is it something published ?" I can repeat my answer to him here: "Yes, it is well known PP".
Red to move.

Bashir Durdyev vs M. Bernini
We are almost in the beginning of game. After opening moves 9-13, 22-18, 10-14 white played 25-22 (see postion on diagram), red replied 7-10? and .., game was over. After this young and very potential Italian star played it perfectly to the rest of game and was awarded with win.

O. Kolin vs V. Shafir, G1
Here is short, compressed list of errors happened in this game before players reached position on diagram #1.
1) Red move 16-20 loses, 8-11 correct
2) White move 25-22 missed a win, 24-19 was correct
3) Red move 11-16 loses, 11-15 was correct

Continue from diagram #2: 14-17 (14-18 and 13-17 loses by 19-15*, 12x19, 26-23 WW), 19-15, 12x19, 26-22, 17x26, 30x16, 13-17, 16-12 17-22, 27-23* etc WW
Instead winning 18-15 on diagram #1, white played drawn 19-15, 10x19, 23x16, 12x19, 26-23, 19x26, 30x23, 4-8, 28x19, 9-14, 18-9, 5x14, 19-16, 12-19 and we reached position on diagram #2. White played 31-26 ?? (23-19 Draw) and lost after 12x19, 23x16, 7-11*, 16x7, 2x11 WW
White to move.

R. Beckwith vs F. Kareta, G1
29-25 ?? (15-18 correct), 26-23* etc RW - the only mistake white made in this long game.
I will post 2nd game of 3rd round later under this topic and separate post.
