can someone make a diagram for me
[FEN "W:W23,22,21,19,18,K8:BK27,20,16,13,12."]
Re: can someone make a diagram for me
Patrick, the procedure for making and posting a diagram is explained in the first topic of this forum on "Positions". After you do it one time, it is easy.
John diagrammed your position with the White forces moving down the board.
Whose turn is it to move?
Do you care to state the full terms?
? to play and ?

Re: can someone make a diagram for me
its something i have been working on and its whites turn and i am told it draws
Re: can someone make a diagram for me
look a the FEN and the capital letter W colon and this tells you it is White turn to play. If B: it would be Black "Red" or RTM.

Re: can someone make a diagram for me
Patrick, I set it up on King's Row at the 5 minutes per move level. Although White is a piece ahead, King's Row could not mount a winning attack in several tries. If you find a win, let us know.

I have been working on it for a long time ....I am hoping it draws because the ending may save the line if all the play leading up to it also draws

This is a test. Can anyone tell me if they have problems viewing this diagram?
The arrows make the board bigger/smaller, the circular arrow flips the board, and the anchor shows/hides the numbers.

Numbers are extra and mae it more difficult for observation. Can you remove numbers or make it much smaller ?Jay H wrote:Jason Solan wrote:This is a test. Can anyone tell me if they have problems viewing this diagram?
I am playing checkers, not chess.

Re: can someone make a diagram for me
I've adjusted it so numbers are off by default.Alex_Moiseyev wrote:Numbers are extra and mae it more difficult for observation. Can you remove numbers or make it much smaller ?
They can still be switched on (and off again) by clicking the little anchor icon.
If i get some good feedback that this is working for people, I'm planning to build this into our forum. Currently it requires a valid "FEN" line (such as the one Patrick posted in the first post of this topic), but I plan on modifying it so that you can drag and drop pieces in order to setup the position.
Oh and if anyone has better suggestions for icons, I'm all ears.

Re: can someone make a diagram for me
Jason, having an option to turn on or off numbers is a perfect solution. In this case you can even keep numbers in default and user can customize it for his/her needs.
Another good subject for customization could be color and size

Re: can someone make a diagram for me
also the position comes from one of the barred openings
and the line does draw
and almost all the lines i worked on
except one and ed king confirmed the line loses
11-16 22-18 10-15 opening...which i have named the tiger
just cuz
1. 11-16 22-18 2. 10-15 18x11 3. 8x15 25-22 4. 9-14 24-20 5. 3-8 20x11 6. 7x16 22-18 7. 15x22 26x10 8. 6x15
just going from my memory i think this is the winning line
programs opening book has 22-18 eval as even and other moves and better or winning...but they draw
