Re: A little february teaser
Sune, I'm sorry I missed this! I did test this position with Cake and KingsRow, both on 5 minutes a move,
with mixed results! "Red to move and ?" With Cake, red loses starting with:
1. 14-18, 23x14; 2. 9x18, 25 22; 3. 18x25, 29x22; 4. 5-9, 15 11; 5. 9-14, 11 8.
Red will buckle under pressure and lose on white's 62nd move!
With KingsRow, red gets a draw starting with:
1. 1-6, 15 11; 2. 6-10, 25 22; 3. 3-7, 11 8; 4. 14-17, 21x14; 5. 9x18x25, 29x22.
Red goes on to a draw with three kings vs three kings on white's 72nd move.
The main difference that I see between Cake and KingsRow is that the KingsRow
sequence has three double jumps, and Cake has no double jumps.
