5x5 puzzle
Re: 5x5 puzzle
That is a tuff ending. At move 36 is something I believed 24-20 would run into, but I'm not going to argue with a 10 peice database I deffinatly did not see how hard it would be to trade from that position either.

Re: 5x5 puzzle
Hmmm, lecker!!!
(ie "Hmmmm, delicious").
Thx for the cake Matthew )
So I am as good as a database, horray. If only all positions would be five Kings aginst five Kings
But I had assistance for "developing" my idea:
Jonathan , I must admit I looked at 20-24 first and liked it most at first glance, and Sune, the advance 32-27 is the threat, so the idea to "prevent" it was brought up by u before, and Matthew showed that the single corner pieces may advance without 32-27 too disturbing. Alex, u brought up the idea 1. 5-9 32-27, 2. 19-24 27-23, 3. 1-5 , which also works by 1. 1-6 32-27, 2. 19-24 27-32, 3. 6-9, what is what I found without knowing your posting, but obviously u had this tactical idea first.
So let me share part of the cake with u , okay ?

Re: 5x5 puzzle
Ingo, my congrats ! You are a man I was unable to find an idea and advantage of 1-6 compare with 5-9. You have great intuition and bright future in checkers.
I like cakes, but this one - all yours ! Be a winner
