In this position (see diagram below), you have to add an extra black man on the board, and after then white to move and win.

Hi Alex,

I'm enjoying this but can only find draws.

A black man on 26 and white to move will win easily with 1. .... 31x22 2. 24-28 and then waiting moves with the king on 22 force a trivial win.

Ingo, if you read Sixth you can realize that I always place white pieces down. So - left bottom square is 29 (A1), not 4. This comes traditionally from my Russian Checkers and 10x10 experience.

This position can be describe as:

Black: 9, 13
White: Kings 1,2

Ok, thanks Ingo,

I thought we were viewing the board from white's side. I guess there is no real need of an extra black man, white wins either way.

Aargh! It looked sooo easy from that "point of view" ;-(
Give us time until Sunday...

In chess it's the same tradition (white moving up the board), but because white is the first player in all of these games.
So to me it was logical that in "English style" it must be red moving up the board.

Maybe we should add the numbers to the board, or always print it from the side who has to move (like it were a decision in a game).

Sorry for this mistake!

You've got it ! :occasion5:

Extra man must be placed on square 13 and crown a man ! After then 1-5 or 1-6 wins.

Congratulations !

Next puzzle is on the way.

Ok, very nice puzzle Alex, took me a while to see this. My wife keeps telling me that I am deaf but I was beginning to think my problem was with my eyes , because I keep looking and looking and telling myself "there's already a man one 13".
