I think I have enough of all this. Clearly checkers has become an adult, X-rated game; hatred, slander, and foul language... its all condoned.. nothing will be stopped.

Family site .. sure.. just for low lives maybe... great job Alan.. I want to personally congratulkate you will all the work you have done.. As a leader you have shown how to spread hatred here on this board.. no wonder that others follow your lead.

I have nothing more to say.

i totally agree with jolt. i've known ryan for years and he is not racist. Irma is clearly causing trouble, for whatever reason, maybe she wasn't loved as a child? i do believe an apology is in order. also the acf is mishandling funds and not properly promoting checkers. i think there should be a change of leadership

Hello Nathan:

You have made one serious accusation stating that the ACF is mishandling funds. You will now need to state your proof on the forum of this most serious charge against the ACF . You need to be specific with dates ,amounts involved , names involved and any other facts you have to make public.

You also state that the ACF is not properly promoting Checkers. I am listening to your plan for change ?

Change in leadership ? Anyone in good standing in the ACF and is a US Citizen can run for any office in our next election. You need to develop a plan for improving the ACF under your leadership.

I await your replies to my questions, thanks.

I'll retract that statement of the ACF mishandling funds, as I do not have proof, and I will keep my ideas on the issue to myself. It is true though, in America you are innocent until proven guilty. I'm only in High School Alan, and as much as I love this game, unlike many of the retirees, I do not have the time to fix the ACF, or at least attempt to.

I'm sure the ACF has a lot of money saved up. If you want to increase the popularity of checkers, ACF must hold tournaments in different venues. Yea, maybe you get a 5000 bid for nationals in vegas, "the best bid," but I think ACF must take money out of the cookie jar and hold it in other places, like the eastern part of America. There are a lot of other little things, such as not updating the Roster of Champions, holding tournaments in less then ideal places, not updating ratings in a timely manner, etc. You may say "this isn't that big of a deal," but how can anyone take checkers seriously if there are all these infractions. I'm not sure those things are in your hands, but I think an administration that micromanages would be ideal.

I could careless about checkers right now. I'm in my prime years, going through school and friends, but when I'm 50-60, I just hope checkers isn't run into the ground and still alive and maybe even more popular than today.

Hello Nathan:

We only had ONE bid for our ACF 3-Mover this year. A couple of preliminary inquiries were received earlier in the year, but no other bids were submitted. I mentioned one time that at some point the ACF might not get a bid one year, than what? Thank goodness for Gerry Lopez in 2008 !

Yes ,the ACF has money in CD's that is overseen by ' THREE ' Trustees. It takes 2 out of the 3 to sign to take out any interest money from the CD's. That money is to be used as prize money and rotates every other year between GAYP and 3-Move Nationals. The ACF never has extra dollars floating around to use for other promotions, sad but true. I have been on a constant hunt for sponsorship and to date not to be found to raise dollars that could be used for other projects.

I also appreciate your full retraction of your comment about the ACF mishadling funds.
