Billy the problem arises when the children get upset when someone sets them straight.... they wanna talk crap all day and they expect us to nod our heads in agreement....

they are god's gift to checkers yet refuse to show up and play.... all they can do is trash talk.... if trash talking is a skill i am glad i am "skill less"
cheers from sunny OZ Billy :)

the problem with checkers Chee is there's too many puerile post-adolescents like you and Nick to mention a couple who like to abuse and make fun of anyone that dares think differently than you....

you might be the best player ever born ... you still have to respect others ...
and before you make the claim, BACK IT UP with facts, not opinions....

cheers chump

Chee Xiong wrote: I'm not making fun of anyone. And what's there to think differently about, my ranking is fact based...you can "think differently" all you want but you still suck.

Respect? Again I wasn't making fun of anyone or being disrespectful. Are you retarded? This isn't rocket science.

You're calling me a chump but It's already been proven you stink in Kurnik, while I'm 1650+...what's your argument. This doesn't involve you. Posting all day but has no checkers skills. You're not relevant.
Oh and you are OH SO RELEVANT !!!???!! (to whom???)

don't you get it , you could have a rating of 50,000 in kurnik and it still would mean nada in the real world.
and for someone who isn't disrespectful you sure got a mouth chump :)

you might be relevant in kurnik , go there and dream of being a master player.... whenever you wanna stop pretending and want to back up something for once in your life, let us know and show up to a tournament...

dreaming is not a skill.... and yes i agree this is not rocket science...
don't you understand the difference between TALKING and DOING???

cheers

I am not going to take sides, but this is the way I see it. I think some ACF members are mad because they see your ranking list Chee, as bragging. In a way I see their point, you have Alex on the list at 3 when he barely has played online lately. I am not on week nights ever so I could be wrong, but I have not seen him on in ages. You did mention it is Kurnik and Internet ranking only, but I think players look at it as if you are bragging about the brilliance of online players. Calling people by WWE names, Darion- AKA The Game, Max- The Warrior Max, which is a pretty cool name actually lol. There is nothing wrong with your list at all and I don't have any problem with it, but I think that is where they are coming from, they just don't want to hear about it. To clear some things up with the ACF players, yes, the online checker community can be quite full of themselves and aren't always the nicest people, but those guys you saw on the list are indeed very skillful players and are all most likely master level players. Not every online player is great, but the top 15-10 are.

This post was put on my website by another great player and checker supporter named Steve, I think it is worth reading:

Hi Eric, I read through the ACF forum and I found Mr. Gobers comments very interesting. He says the older players don’t receive the proper respect when they play online. To me that is funny because I had (probably still do have if I took the time to search for them) screen shots from VOG circa 2002 where the Offline World Champion Alex Moiseyev says some less than classy things about Mr. Ron King. Over the years the world champ hasn’t been a saint, so don’t expect every online player to kiss his ring.

I find it interesting that Mr. Acker says very few of the top 15 Internet players have “bothered” to attend tournaments. This has been discussed before; many people aren’t in the same position as some who have attended tournaments. When I was in high school, my parents sure as hell couldn’t afford to fly me to Las Vegas for a week to play in the national tourney. When I was in school I was hours away from the Illinois tournament down in the southern tip of the state, there was no way I could get there. And now, as an adult, I’m hours away from the closest tourney in Nevada, which also happens to be in a slum motel that I will never return to ever again. Sure, there are probably people in much tougher situations than many online players, and maybe they find ways to attend live events, but there are many different variables to consider. Everyones situation is unique.

As for tommy and danny, theres some old saying about not arguing with idiots because, well… you know.

Chee, thank you for your commitment to the online checkers community. Your tireless chronicling of our internet checkers heritage will be an asset to future generations. People may try to diminish your efforts but the true checkers players who proudly identify themselves as Online Players understand the significance and validity of your World 3 Move Online Checker Rankings.

Eric, your efforts to promulgate checkers to the online masses does not go unnoticed. For years you have sought out new players and introduced them to competitive checkers. You have taken the time to create and maintain this website. You’ve assembled thousands of games into one easy to navigate page, and you have given a voice to the voiceless by creating a forum where people are not censored for speaking the truth. Your good checker deeds on earth will live on for eternity. Thank you.

Thank you Steve,

Alex isn't a saint and he isn't expected to be either.... we are all human... he isn't advocating a place in the vatican after he dies...

Secondly, what is your point, or Steve's point, Alex isn't a saint but you are???
MUAHAHAHAHAHA good night Saint Eric.... don't choke on your self-importance or we might have to start to light candles and say prayers in your name......
please saint eric help me win a checkers game ....
