Looking back at the old BBS days:-)

Hello everyone:

On a Christmas in Charlotte,N.C. at my Daughters I remember Mr. Alex wishing everyone a Merry Xmas and issue was taken over the use of Xmas,etc. and quite a dialogue ensued on the BBS. I think this was back in 1999 ? Now in 2007 I note that no one has made much mention of Christmas for fear perhaps of offending someone?

I have had a great Christmas today with my family . Opening of presents at different homes and enjoying fellowship and good food My Wife tonight is preparing soup beans and cornbread and having our Daughter and our three Grandsons over for dinner.

My Brother Ken is 12 years my Junior and I gave him a personalized copy of the 8th. International and also a copy to my 10 year old Grandson Solomon. Both like the game of Checkers as I do.

Anyway I respect diversity and have friends who are Christian, Catholic, Jewish, Muslim (who live in France),etc. and some who have no faith.

I wish everyone good health in the coming New Year and better things ahead for our ACF and the game of Checkers/Draughts and for mankind.
