What do you like about checkers?: I enjoy learning more and more as i go. despite its alleged simplicity the game is incredibly complex and rewarding.

Danny, here in Michigan, the Great Lakes State, reports vary. Some people felt it, and some people did not.
I did not feel it. Comments to a local online news story show that many people in Michigan who felt it were in
an office building at the time of the quake. If the quake originated in Cleveland, Ohio, we would know why!

I have since spoken to a few people.... it seems the further away from the sea border they were the more unlikely that they felt it.
it was a big one at 5.9 richter.... i have been in a 7.1 and it is very very very scary. I wouldn't wish it on anybody.
from the reports i read, everything is relatively well, and there hasn't been any casualties which bespeaks very highly of the emergency
departments of your country and also the quality of the infrastructure.

As a resident of Norfolk, Virginia, located on the East Coast, I felt it.

I was sitting at my computer desk, when all of a sudden my computer desk felt like it was swaying back and forth. However, no objects on my desk were moved or knocked over.

I felt my own body swaying back and forth too. At first I thought I was having a problem with my equillibrium and sense of balance. From childhood to my late twenties, I had a lot of inner ear infections which affected my equillibrium and sense of balance.

When the swaying stopped, I decided to turn off my computer and take a nap, in hopes of restoring my sense of balance.

An earthquake had never even occurred to me.

When I woke up and turned my computer back on, I read and learned all about the earthquake.

Everything was swaying after all.

This was the first earthquake I had ever experienced in my lifetime of 61 years.
