"Hey You Forgot Me"--answer

Post by Mr. Checkers »

"Checker Trivia question of the Day". In 1909 Timothy Call's Literature of Checkers listed all the known checker books (written in the English language) from Payne's up until that time. Can you name any checker books that he may have missed and therefore they were not listed in his book? (Cont.)

This fine piece of checker trivia is brought to you by my friend Al Darrow. There were several books that were missed by Call's Literature of Checkers--this is just one of those. Charles Lawsons--"The Checker Friend", which began Oct. 7th, 1907. The first 4 issues say "The Checker Friend". Volume I No. 5 says "Checker Friend". After the first 4 issues it was suspended until Feb. 1st 1911. Lawsons book finished with Volume I No. 12 and then he did a supplement to it before it ended. (Cont.)
