Asa Long, 10 Cents, Elbert Lowder and J. C. Penny's--answer
"Checker Trivia question of the Day". If you tie all four of these together into one interesting checker fact what would that be? (Cont.)

Re: Asa Long, 10 Cents, Elbert Lowder and J. C. Penny's--ans
On different occasions Elbert Lowder and Asa Long presented our checker museum with their personal checker sets, which they had used in many important tournament and match games over the years. Both sets were exactly alike, very old and each came in their original box. And each could be purchased at J. C. Penny's for a mere 10 cents. (Cont.)
