"Checkerboard Square"
I have already told you about the "Dog Chow" checker sets that the Ralston-Purina Co. put out many years ago for your puppy. In 1905 another checker set (in a cute small drawstring bag) advertised one of their other products--which was embossed on the checkers. This product was an essential cooking ingredient and it can be found in any kitchen. "Checker Trivia" What was that product? (Cont.)

Re: "Checkerboard Square"
Humm, "an essential cooking ingredient and can be found in any kitchen", I don't know the answer but, ok I'm going to venture a guess here,
(flour used to be sold in cloth bags or sacks and it was then and still is today an essential cooking ingredient and it's in every kitchen) is the answer "Purina Whole Wheat Flour" or "Purina Pancake Flour"?

"Purina Wheat Flour" as you say came in bags--. This miniature checker set also came in a small flour sack with a lot of Purina advertising printed on the outside. (Cont.)
