"Silent Author"--"Revisited"--answer

I would like to dedicate this checker trivia to my dear friend Al Darrow who gave it to me to share with you. Lyman Stearns was working on the "Draughts Marvel" along with his associate compilers in the early 1900's. This as you already know is the largest book ever published on checkers. Now if you look down the list of compilers you will come across "Silent Author". "Checker Trivia question of the Day". Who was this famous "Silent Author"? :lol:

Wm. Fleming was unmasked many years later as being the "Silent Author". "Checker Trivia question of the Day"? Who were the two very famous early 20th century checker personalities that people thought may have been the "Silent Author" long before Wm. Fleming was unmasked? :lol:

Researchers in the early 1900's once thought that it was either Clarence Freeman or A.J. Heffner that was the "Silent Author" until it was later discovered that it was indeed "William Fleming". :lol:
