"50 Cents"--answer

Post by Mr. Checkers »

Most checker books originally sold for only a few dollars or less; i.e. Lees Guide--50 cents, Wiswell's Wonderful World of Checkers--$10 and Ryan's Modern Encyclopedia of Checkers (2nd ed.)--$3.50. Even at those prices many players today are not willing to pay that much for them. "Checker Trivia question of the Day"?
What checker book sold for over $30 originally? (Cont.)

Yes I will agree that Alex's "6th" will displace Dr. Schaeffer's book--"One Jump Ahead" to second place, but until the "6th" is available the Schaeffer book still holds onto first place. Mr. Pasks books have always been moderately priced, which made them more affordable to the checker community. (Cont.)
