"4-Move Deck Cards"?

Post by Mr. Checkers »

A few years ago there was a lot of discussion out there concerning the development of a 4-Move system, which was to replace our present 3-Move system. With the increase in the number of moves with the 3-Move deck has the 4-Move idea been given up on?

Really confused on this thread. How is a question if 4-move cards going to ever happen applicable to a strategy or a tactic? This maybe should be in the general section of the forum.

Ones tactics an strategy would obviously change in going from 3-Move to the newer 4-Move system.

Also the move from our regular 3-Move deck to the expanded 3-Move deck has changed the tactics and strategy of the game. Some are opposited to the newer deck while others like it.

I would like to see 6 move or so decks that get into the midgame. I don't like the opening part of games. I like solving problems.

I don't see any changes in strategy or tactics with 4 moves deck, or 11 man ballott. Game still the same, and all strategy theory still the same.

Only changing the board size or rules can change strategy.

4 moves deck generates around 600 openings. This is hard to memorize, and I seriously doubt it will ever be adopted in the human cross aboard play. But if mail players start playing it in the nearest future - I won't be surprize.

Matthew, opening stage of game is important, hard and most enjoyable part of game :banghead:
