Merry Christmas to everyone ! Lets hope next year will be easy, better, and more excited for all of us. All after all, I consider this year, 2005, one of the best years in checkers in decade !
In position on picture white has to jump (20-11), and I don't understand why this boy try to touch a piece on 21
After trade white can win a man by 24-19, however ... red have some positional compensation.

I am playing checkers, not chess.

kids checker picture
Mr. Alex has made a good observation that is all too common with "amateur" checker playing kids today. From exhibitions I have done, it seems the majority of kids don't understand that taking their jumps is required by the rules. In fact, many kids seem surprised when I explain this rule (or think I am emphasizing rule to give myself a personal advantage). Checkers without forced jumps seems pointless to me, as there is no fear of walking onto a shot (since one may simply refuse to jump and avoid the penalty).
Yes, Merry Christmas to all!
