I understand John and Mickey Webster are planning to attend, but our plans to bring a car load have been cancelled. I will not be able to attend this year. Please take and post lots of pictures as we will be with you in spirit. If you email me or send them I will post all pictures on NC website. Maybe next year.....

I know Albert Tucker won the masters with 18 points. Larry and I had 17 points and Webster had 16 points.
My son was automatic winner of minors as no one else entered. He won 100 dollars and I won 225 and Larry won 225. Albert Tucker won 375 dollars. I dont know any results of the majors.

Hello Pat,

I will have to wait until I receive them from Frank by mail... I was hoping you would have made a copy, scanned and emailed it to me or your text version of the results which I would have gladly posted, but it will probably be a few days. I did hear about 30+ attending and who was the winners from Ted Williamson, just a few sketchy details.

Thanks to everyone for all the nice compliments about my son. He is very active in baseball, soccer, and many other sports, so I am glad to see that he gets such a nice welcome in checkers.

Alex is a fast learner Michael, he has a very good teacher. He will grow up to be an amazing opponent should he continue to learn and love the game. Heading to NC? I would go, but it is a long(13 hrs?) drive for me, and had there not been another tournament available closer to Chicago, I'd be there. I'll be in Nebraska playing in their tournament. Hopefully a lot of players plan on attending, and support Dave Stovie and Nebraska checkers. There will probably be about 14+ players attending in one class. Good to see you and Alex again, take care.

I forgot to mention that we have a youth tournament scheduled for Saturday. Trey and Erin Stanley and several others, there is also suppose to be a 9 year old prodigy according to his mother. Certified by Duke Univ. I hope he plays well as some are expecting him to play... Any way we will make all youth feel welcome and appreciated. They all will get trophies and certificates, and the winner or winners will be recognized.
