Thanks Bob for the "heads-up"
John Cardie was on the radio, here is a link to the interview.
I got this off to Wilma who said she was planning to have a picture and article on Colton and the Governor but lacked the room on this issue of MCA Newsletter, maybe in the next one.

Wilma said, "She was giving up the MCA newsletter (retiring). Darlene Stallsworth will take it over in August. Her husband, George is our new MCA president. They will make a good team and will do a good job. She is very computer savvy and seems to be enthusiastic about doing the news. I will still be secretary/treasurer of MCA."

Wilma Wolverton has done a long and wonderful editorship with the MCA newsletter. I have a copy of every issue published from 1995 to date.

Thank you so much Bob for the link to that wonderful radio interview which I enjoyed tremendously. It was evident from the interview that Mr John Cardie is a real special person. Great stuff.

Yes, John is a very special person and a great friend too.
He has been conducting checker tournaments in the elementary schools in the Denver, CO area, I will post some pictures when I get the time to scan them.
