Hello everyone,

I just got off the phone from talking to JR, (lunch break) he tells me that the hotel's internet server is down and he can't make posts so here is what happened this morning.

Round No.5:

Game 9,
Alex-Red, Tim-White.
Red #5 and White #23 Removed from board, Red's balloted move 11-16, White's 24-20.
Game Drawn (after nearly 2 hours)

Game 10,
Same ballot, Tim-Red, Alex-White.
JR reports that it was a long lasting marathon game. (over 2 hours)
White Win

Match ended ! Last two games were drawn and the final score for me is: 5 wins and 7 draws. There is a chance that Tim missed a win in game #2, but also there is a chance that maybe the whole opening in this game is losing.

JR will post an official announcement, score and statitics.

I was waiting for this moment almost 6 years since I played with Elbert in 2002, and I am very proud to win this very respectable title and being in the same line with N. Banks, A. Long, K. Grover, E. Lowder and some others.

Regards,

Alex

Well done Alex and Tim

I suppose that you will be eager to defend this title soon ; so what would you say to an independant challenge from myself sometime in 2009; round January , Febuary??

All the best

After long drive and few hours rest, I started loading games with Kingsrow into PDN format for future delivery to public. At the same time, indeed, I checked several moves.

WOW ! It's gonna be fun and enjoyment for everyone, including myself, Tim and anyone who will buy a booklet :D So many beauties and missing opportunities from both sides. To be honest, I thought the number of inaccuracies in my moves is relatively small, but it seems like a little bit over optimistic assumption

Remember, the number of booklet copies as JR mentioned, is limited, only 40, and it is soon may come out. Don't miss a chance to see all my and Tim errors and beauties of the game.

Regards,

Alex

Congratulations to Alex on winning and to Tim for providing the world class competition. Thanks to JR Smith for his hard work in promoting and refereeing this match and for his researching the history of 11 man ballot.
