Re: 2008 A.C.F. 3- Move Nationals & Youth Ty.
Some more brief thoughts....
Many more twists and turns today! Alex seems to be back in charge after all and looks to be the one to beat.
(morning results below)
1 win - Moiseyev-Schwartz, 3 draws? (not sure of breakdown, but Alex won the match)
1 win R. King-E. Morrison - 1 win, 2 draws (drawn match)
0 Hallett-Beckwith 2 wins, 1 draw
So, Moiseyev and King drew each other in Round one.
Moiseyev and King both beat me; Hallett beat both Moiseyev and King; then I won against Hallett.
Hallett won 10-14 22-18 6-10 vs Alex, and Octopus vs Ron, who went off pp defense early
Alex -18
King - 16
Beckwith-16
Hallett-16
2 rounds to go
a further update...
Alex is winning in Round 7 vs. John Webster.
Jim Morrison and Ron King are currently playing inferno, and I am down a game to Earl Morrison.
Hallett and Larry Keen drew their first two games.
Round 8 is tomorrow, and repairs are permitted. I suspect Alex (with lead) will play either King or Hallett in the last round, depending on how last two games of Round 7 go.
Kim is busy playing and refereeing, but appears much improved and is playing in the Majors for the first time and is holding her own. She should win ladies title given her lead over Wilma. P. Schwartzberg, G. Cisneros, and J. O'Grady are in the top 3 in Majors, I believe (not sure what order). Corey Modich (Adult youth champ) is running away in the minors division.
