Josh Armstrong wrote:I remember buying a booklet like those on here. It was just a list of moves from the tournament, where the guy just ran all the moves through Kingsrow. The annotation consisted of something like this "10-15, hmm good move, PP 9-14." So you can understand my reservation about purchasing any two-bit booklet from ACF.
Dear Josh,
from your statement it is clear to me, that you never bought
"Selected games and positions" which I selected and annotated for ACF 3-move National, 2006 It has 80 pages, 54 fully annotated games, each take 1-2 pages, alot of diagrams. In addition to Selected Games, this book (book, not booklet !) has what i call "Selected positions", totalling 30 more positions from tournament + opening index and ACF Tough deck.
This book is still selling from ACF Store on this forum and price is $15. I would recommend you to get it first and read which should keep you busy until 2008 Selected wull be ready !
It was done in style very similar to "Sixth" and John Acker was again my editor.
BTW. The guy you mentioned has the name, Jim Loy, ACFB editor, author of many books, mail player and excellent annotator. I have all his books he published in last several years. Jim has diffenet style then I do, but it doesn't mean his annotations are not worthy to study. If Jim says "Hmm good move" that means alot to me and is a good food for thoughts !

Alex
