Hello Vic,

I wish we could. ODCA usually schedules their Virginia Open the 3rd weekend in September. The reason it was moved to the 4th last year was the request by Bill McClintock who had a prior commitment. I told him I would check and when I did neither Buck nor Kevin has reserved a Hotel or arranged for a playing room. We got busy to see what could be done, by this time the Super 8 was full and the next place Days Inn was down the road a mile. Days Inn did want to provide a playing room, but Super 8 would but the date would have to be moved to the 28-29th so that’s what we did. We even considered moving the venue to Roanoke or Lynchburg but we didn't. We kept it in Bedford and everyone was happy.

This year I started pushing Kevin and Buck to get things lined up earlier. We did and it is back on schedule.... 3rd weekend of September.

I would like to see all regularly played tourney stick to a set schedule. Like KY and 101 is on the same weekend
