William,

Ron arrived late last night in Cleveland for Ohio tournament and match. He recalled filling out a form for Henri Macaux previously (for free flight situation) and thought this was sufficient. I pointed out that we had no submitted info on other Barbados representatives and needed this, nor did Glyne Howell ever submit this either. Ron understood and hopefully will make some calls soon to rectify.

Ron was only barred from bidding to host a challenge match follwing the failure of his bid to host the match with Alex last year. He is free to enter any tournament he wants.

Greetings Mr. Reade,
Thanx for the correction.....
I quote here from Mr. Devlin's statement, posted on the ACF Homepage...
"In view of this situation, and that Alex Moiseyev and Alan Millhone had made considerable changes in their personal, family, and work commitments in anticipation of departing for Barbados today, the WCDF have ruled that the Barbados bidders have defaulted on their commitments. The WCDF have no option but to cancel the match and rule that Ron “Suki” King has lost his right to challenge for the World Championship (3 move restriction) title for this cycle. No further bid is being sought. "

Indeed, I understand Ron King's right to enter any tourney he chooses....my confusion was in regarding this event as the qualifying round for the next 3-move world championship challenge to Alex's Title

I mis-understood the meaning of "this cycle",..... my bad (lol).
I thought the ruling meant the next cycle.....which would be the current one.
Have you ever heard an explanation for the default mentioned above...? I have not, myself.
I was a subscriber to the match......as such, I felt entitled to an explanation...Image

Ron King said at the WCDF meeting at Buncrana in 2007 that his backers had let him down. He apologised to all concerned.

Here is a simple instruction what you should do in Beijing airport:

1) After arrival pass passport control.
2) Then, without panic :D take a small train which will bring you to baggage terminal in 5-7 minutes.
3) After receiving your baggage, pass custom control ... perhaps "green street"
4) Then see around for people with signs "MIND SPORT" who will take you here (see photo)

5) Finally from this table you will be taken to hotel or Olympic Village - depends of your choice and where you want to stay.
