One of participants in Beijing from Ukraine, Alexander Kolin, asked me recently if any aheckers/draughts events are scheduled in Europe in 2009. He was unable to find any information on this site or WCDF site.
I told him in general w/o much details:
1) Germany National - May
2) English Open - 1st week of June (traditionally)
3) Germany Open - August
4) Wells Open - - somewhere in fall
5) Irish Open - last week of October (traditionally).
Can someone extend and correct this list for accuracy and fullfillment of information.
I remember other years we had Dutch Open, something in Czech Republic, Scotland ... ?
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Alex

More about his ... I am not familiar with rules and requirements, but maybe for Home International some team would include Alexander, if this is legal ?
Just question only ...

The home internationals are held every four years so theres plenty of time to iron out this matter, I say the more players the better.but maybe for Home International some team would include Alexander, if this is legal ?
all the best
Shane.

The English Open is at Knighton from 11 to 15 May.
The earliest European event that I know of next year is the Kildare Open at Naas over the weekend 21/22 February.
