I am not good at using the diagram generator so will list out my recent game with Mr. Ryan Pronk. I was glad to see Ryan and his lady friend enter this past week-end's tournament .
Ryan commanded the red pieces in game one that ended in a draw ( I was lucky).
In game # 2 I had the red pieces and got myself into real trouble and had to really struggle for a draw. Knowledge of p.p. is essential to get off on the right foot in any 3-move opening and 9-13, 22-17 is no excpetion !
9-13, 22-17, 13-22, 25-18 ( at this point I pondered if Suki would ever consider the 26-17 jump ! ), 11-15 , 18-11,8-15 , 21-17, 5-9, 17-13, 9-14, 23-19, 4-8, 29-25, 7-11 ! ( an anti-positional move on my part. Ryan played 8-11 in game one and I should have done the same in this game). 26-23, 2-7, 25-21, 14-17 ( I knew that 15-18 would encounter 30-25) , 21-14, 10-17, 19-10, 7-14, 23-18, 14-23, 27-18, 17-22, 24-20, 3-7 (reds are in horrible shape now), 15-19 ( 11-15 would lose quickly via the " in and outer " via 31-26), 1-5, 32-27, 6-10 , 14-9, 5-14, ( I knew this pitch was coming so Ryan could get a powerful King behind all my single pieces)13-9, Tommie Wiswell would say, " Position beats possession" .......... 14-17, 9-6, 17-21, 27-23, 22-25 ( it was suggested in post mortem analysis that perhaps 10-14 might have been my better move and delay my crowning of the piece on 22) , 23-18, 25-29, 6-2, 29-25, 31-26, 10-15, 18-14, 15-19 ( I have constantly been looking for a way to give back to Ryan the pitched piece of earlier and looking for my draw), 2-6, 11-15, 6-2 (pressure being applied to all my singles), 7-11, 14-9, 15-18,2-7, 11-15, 7-11, 12-16 * (something I had looked at developing a few moves back), 11-4, 18-22 ! , 26-17, (a good 'delay' theme to remember that does in fact arise in games on occasion), 25-22, 20-11, 22-6, 4-8, 15-22 (Mr. Alex pointed out that 'lining up' via 6-10 for a trade of the white piece was a simpler route than what I chose).
I post this game at Michael Holmes request. I show this game to show how a 'theme' does arise in games. I am just an average player and do not profess to be any kind of expert in annotations. Ryan hope you do not mind me publishing this game
