John, today checkers are passing very strong and long stagnation period ... at least to say. No movement, no revolvement, Federations are impotents.

Hi Tommy

happy birthday tomorrow .

Listen , go into your local pub , and stand at the bar , in the middle . There will be a guy on your left , but if he's drunk already then it will be on your right. His name is Paddy , but if he's drunk , he will reply to the name of Mick . Just say hello to him and tell him that Docherty ( thats me ) , his old buddy , sent 20 euros to him last week so that I could buy you a beer for your birthday ; if he is already drunk , he will understand nothing , but insist ... let me know the outcome ... All the best

William

Ps Who says that the scots are tight now!!!

Well Liam ,Billy or William ...........thanks yu for your good wishes on this momentous occasion i am now officially (unless for stray cats) .......the oldest surviving male on the Canning side my father, grandfather ,great grand-father etc........all snuffed it before they got to my age grrrrrrrrrrrr.I am not sure if thats good or not but yu gotta take the ruff w/ the smoooooth.HAHAHAHA.

Oh and another useless piece of info for anyone with nothing much else to do but listen...........The name Liam of course is the Irish term generally used for ....William and Billy !!!well i take it thats the Scots term of William so thats the name tri-angle for today and thats all without even th "smell " of a drink yet.

I think Billy (thats Liam or William whichevr yu prefer) might have had a "bottle"(its yrs since i heard that terminology) too many when producing his last music video and writing his last post too as i cudn make out thing he was on about.Im not holding my breath waiting for "Paddy/or Mick...holding up some counter to get a wee dram mesell cos yu see i lived in Scotland for wee while back then with me sister in The Renton?.........and she was just as "tight"(means stingy) as the Scottish git she was married too.!!!! hahahahaha..........so i know the history!!...........gee us anor "bottle" Jimmy sure its me birthday and................sure whats anor year ?!!!!!! "wats anor beer" .........heh wat wat wat...................

Hi Tommy,

I turned on the television this morning and to my surprise NBC was broadcasting a special edition of the TODAY SHOW live from Ireland with Meredith Vieira and Al Roker...

http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/26184891/ ... 0#29717630

I guess they are there in honor of your birthday... :)

They are taking in all the unique things Ireland has to offer including > a game of hurling, Irish Coffee and more...

Check out the clip of Meredith and Al learning about sheep herding from farmer Pat Malowe...

Poor Meredith could hardly understand a word Pat was saying

I was surprised to learn that there is only 4 hours difference in our time zones, you seem much farther away... Regards "Pal"

BTW: what city/town do you live in?

Herzlichen Glueckwunsch an Tommy, einen Dameschriftsteller und -trainer wie es kaum einen anderen gibt.

Congratulations to Tommy, a draughts writer and coach like almost no one else. I still remember a night session I had with him and Sean in Prague and wish that someday I'll get more of those lessons.
