Congratulations to three great players, and William i am very sorry to hear of the cup debacle. It seems to me that there is no honour in checkers anymore, and i am saddened to hear of your experience.Until the game is lifted up and people ,who travel great distances to play are given their due when earned,i cannot see much future in checkers,or anyone wanting to travel to play.
Re: Scottish Open Results
thank you for that support ,
unfortunately you are correct.
On a higher note , I predict that john Mc Elhone will be picking up the British title soon . He has not been playing for long and has a limited book knowledge for the moment , but he is in tough training and will soon be as well posted as McCosker , Watson or a pask . he also has a logical way of playing and can "see" his way through a game .
He is the hottest prospect since McCosker and I look forward to seeing how he gets on in his next tough ty. I am sure there will only be improvements , Well done again john and keep up the good work

Re: Scottish Open Results
just came back from family vacation on Michigan Lake and in particular - dunes where we had a great time and wonderful memorable week. I was very glad to see a good oveturn in Scottish Open this year collecting all European stars. My hot congratulations to William, Shane and Tom - top 3 winners of tournament.
Any good games to share ?
William, it seems like your trophy resides somewhere close to my games from British Open 2002
I am keeping a record of all my games since 1996 and as of today I am only missing some games from British Open 2002 and SC Open 2005. During Irish Open 2007 Graham told me that scoresheets from British Open 2002 are not lost and are somewhere in his house ... same as your trophy !
I plan to write in the nearest future a new book "All my games" which includes in chronological order slightly annotated or un-annotated ALL my games (approximately 2000 games). I will certainly include this story into my book
Games from SC 2005 were written into new notebook which I left on the table at last day
It was picked up b y Joe Redd or Dr. MArtin and I am still hope that some day it will be available. These two events are the only ones from more than 100 events which I am missing. HUH
Regards,
AM

Re: Scottish Open Results
Hi JR,
Re the British and Irish crosstable, some of the additional WCDF material relates to a different tournament.
Also heading should be "Masters" and final scores and positions are missing.
I have added a corrected Crosstable to the Checker Sharing section of the Forum.
Regards - Liam.

Re: Scottish Open Results
Thank you Liam, it was late when I was putting this up on the web and I glossed right over the voids... I posted the table as it was sent to me with the additional stuff thinking it belonged to that particular tournament somehow.
I did get your crosstable which was complete and obviously the final copy. I pasted over incomplete crosstable. Thanks again for helping make NC site better.
