Dear Bobby,
looking inside my ACF Bulletins and the 2005 New York ty booklet, I think Alexander Weaver is from New Jersey and the current title holder.
Probably you have to find him and may challenge him to a match privately.
Could plz anyone check this?
Also, New Jersey is in the 2nd District.
I think Francesco La Rocca from New York may help you with contacts. I will try to contact him.
Grandmaster Ed Bruch from NY should be the 2nd District Champion.
There will be a tournament in Conneticut in August, but nothing that is near NJ or NY .
I hope that might help you.
To find a player to compete with might be as hard as here in Germany.
I can play one tournament in a year and have to travel many miles to find another player.
In some areas of the world Checkers is in Diaspora.
