GAYP QT 2009.
Recently I learned a list of participants based on final nomination (deadline Aug 1) It is pity to see that my Scottish friend William Docherty is not on this list along with Durdyev family, players from Germany and some other countries. Re: GAYP QT 2009.
Who do we like as overall winner ?
Seems to me that McCosker and Kondlo are slight favorites but also Francis, Morrison or Beckwith have a good chance.
I hope everyone has a fun tournament.
Sune
P.S. I just found out my current contract runs out in a week so I have nothing important to do in week of the tournament - damn deadline

Re: GAYP QT 2009.
After Sergio Scarpetta and William Docherty will not go, Lubabalo Kondlo is the remaining favorite.
But of course, Jim Morrison already has won a QT, Paolo Faleo is also a very good player as are Jack Francis, Shane McCosker, Richard Beckwith and Roberto Tovagliaro.
It would be no surprise if one of them wins the QT as well.
In any way it will be close, and all the other might also steal valuable points away from the "Big ones".

Re: GAYP QT 2009.
Nice line up for the ty.
yes unfortunately Alex I had to choose between Scottish or Qty , and although I am still on holiday for another 2 weeks ( 4 in total ) I could really only attend 1 due to familly commitments .
I will however be attending the WQT 3 move next year , no matter where it is held ; and I am in fact already in heavy training , and trying to iron out all the rough spots in my game , as I was not too happy with my performance at Scottish.
Concerning the GAYP WQT I would not even put a penny on anyone here !!! As absolutely anything can and will happen , and I don't like losing money!!!
I am glad to see that KONDLO is attending , however match play ( impressive stand in King match ) and ty play is not the same thing . Points must be sought after and that means taking calculated risks , so we will see a very different game from him .
Although I resist predictions here , I would be happy if Jim Morrison wins ( just because I like the guy ) or Shane ( because he has put in a lot of study , is young and enthousiastic , and of course I consider a friend too ).
So guys get the gloves out , and the best of luck to everyone!!!!
Lets hope that there will be regular updates to keep up the suspense for the unfortunate one's who could not attend

Follow my own personal classification, they belong to group of players who will be "stealing points on regular base"
These are players who will be consistently stealing points.
Next group in my classification - players who will be "stealing points occasionly"

Greetinx,
Ingo
His father was the arbiter at the Nations Cup in Fossano.
Michele is concentrating on draughts 100 and does not play checkers or Italian draughts anymore.

I copied and paste nomination list from J. Reade email attachment without any changes.

Tommy, John Reade informs me that he is a fomer Latvian, now living in Nothern Ireland.
I remember that Janis Mutulis was a player that played for the UK at the draughts 100 veteran WC in 2008.
So in fact, he is quite an expirienced player and no rookie.

Re: GAYP QT 2009.
Thanks Ingo ,...........maybe John Reade will give us some info or a contact no. for this gentleman,as from what i hear from Francie he wasnt nominated by the NFD as no knows of him,so it would be better all round if this point was cleared up ASAP.
Talking to Hugh Devlin tonite (at the removal of the remains of Myles Hannigans mother, to the chapel RIP.) he did say he was contacted some time ago by someone looking for 100 square players,so that seems to fit in with what you say and prob is the same guy.
