I am very sorry to hear of Paddy's passing. He was a tough competitor and a thorough genlleman.

Tommy, Very sorry to hear the sad news of the death of Paddy Havlin R.I.P.
He was a great attender and supporter of the Irish Tournaments.

Very sad to hear ...
I only met Paddy in Bromsgrove at the 2000 British .
I'll remember him as a cheery guy , always chatting and smiling with the other players.
As I recall he wasn't too old , RIP paddy

This is indeed very sad news for Irish draughts Paddy was a strong competator and a modest champion

Thanks JR for posting these ...........it was a fine Ty hosted by Francie McNally and his team from the Northern Federation of Draughts in McNaly bar/restaurant in Toome Co.Tyrone ,run over 6 tue nights with almost 50 players taking part. All three familys had a big representation on the final night and were on hand to do the presentations to Ty winners with their prizes.I had conversations with all of them and they were delighted that the occasion had come about.We swapped old stories and events from the past and it was an exhilarating and joyous experience.
