Wayne, How did that 10-14 24-19 6-10 game continue? Colossus gives 21-17 at move 16 to lose! John.

John, just wondering why your name is above mine? Kinda selfish....;) You can have that spot for now but once honor points come out I will have it

How about this run ?

1. 10-14 24-19 2. 6-10 22-18 3. 11-15 18x11 4. 8x24 28x19 5. 4-8 25-22 6. 8-11 22-18 7.
11-16 18-15 8. 1-6 21-17 9. 14x21 15-11 (see diagram) 10. 10-14 26-22 11. 9-13 11-8 12. 14-17 22-18 13. 16-20 8-4 14. 17-22 4-8 15. 6-10 8-4 16. 21-25 30x21 17. 13-17 21x14 18. 10x17 ... Red very strong

I didn't spent much time on this and couple times just pushed program ahead by making moves. However it seems very promising for red. Anyone can improve white play here ? Kingsrow with 10pc ending databse estimates this as red win but I didn't have enough time to hit 100% database.

Red to move

The 21-17 move probably loses with exact play according to a fast look at it with cake and kingsrow. I am out of town and don't have the game with me. Not sure I can reconstruct it completely, but when I get home I will post the entire game. The move was picked for complications, and a desired win. The shock value no doubt helped and took Teal completely by surprise. He let the king get loose, and I was fortunate to win. The win is not an easy one to see unless you are Alex. lol

yeah i thought maybe it loses....against the computer....against people its harder
i like just going for the king without 21-17 then all the trades
but in a tournament with a person looking to get a king...sometimes it gets hard in a tournament
i think 21-17 is a great move in their setting...its a direct challenge....awesome

Colossus gives 9-14 instead of 10-14 at move 19.

John, this is quite interesting and can prove or disapprove something. Lets play it.

After 21-17, 14x21, 15-11, 9-14 Kingsrow with 10 pieces ending database plays here 11-8, 6-9, 8-4 and estimates it as draw. It's your and Colossus turn now. If you don't want to play 6-9, make your other move here and we'll go from that.
