I wanted to let everyone know that I will be in Springfield and on Saturday evening I will be taking ACF dues plus registration for the Nationals early. Please if you are coming to the nationals look me up so we can register as many players as possible on Saturday. For this will help start the tournament on time after the business meeting. We will have the WCDF ratings, the updated roster, and ACF rules.

Late yesterday and today I fixed couple things which allow me now to come to Nationals with full arms and in good spirit.

To Richard Beckwith and John Acker:

thanks guys for your kind offer to take me to Springfield. My car was completely fixed today and I took it out from mechanic place. My car is much stronger now, wallet - much weaker I plan to leave tomorrow, Saturday, in the morning and come to R. Fortman hometown afternoon. See you there, folks !

thanks for kind chating last night and fixing things. It is easy for everyone to get onto list of my friends and not easy to get out ! In order to get out of this list you've got to do something very special

Good evening

Thanks John for the blog , as someone said previously it is very professionally done indeed!! I am now regretting not coming over for the US nat and playing Alex for the 11 man ballot world title match as arranged between us, however as I said when giving the bad news , I must take care of Professional things before getting back into the checker ring!

Someone must tell me what Joe Schwartz has been chewing !!!! Round three and 12 points from 12!! beating Morrison and King right off the board !! Is schartwz going to do a McCosker USA style?? It is possible , and even without seeing the games , I can imagine that Alex ( Joe's pairing for tomorrow) will be feeling uneasy about meeting this great American Grandmaster.

Masters are playing ballot scoring? So a win+draw = 4 - 0 right?
I'd be interested to see the game scoring for some of these rounds.

Hello to everyone !

Very hot (104 degree) on the street and very hot in the tournament room. Joe Schwartz performance was a pleasant surprise for many including myself. I was very lucky in round 4 to win one game (and round) against him, when he screwed things in drawn Peterson Bridge. But the true is that in one game he had me in lost. I was in lost in two (hmm maybe three lol) games, but survived. Noone else survived in single game.

In half of fifth round I played with Suki two draws.

Everything is ahead.

John Acker does exceptional job, many thanks to him for organizing bid, getting sponsors and running blog.

I didn't have a time to view close Major and Minor Division games, but watching at cross table can see very tough competition.
