Re: Welsh Open
Thank you Jan. I will convey your best wishes to all the players. Now in failing health I am only playing in this event to make up the numbers with no hope of gaining a prize. But, it is taking part that counts and supporting the game. I will post the results on my return this Sunday.

Mind you, theyre all pretty fine men at the welsh open.I really enjoyed my time there.Knighton is a beautiful town. And you know its more important to go and enjoy yourself, than be focused on winning.Nice to win tho. lol

Understood Jan....
In my dreams, I could one day visit Europe, and meet the players and organizers there,...until then, I wil have to be satisfied with the reports and updates that I read here on the Forum.
Anyone have any info on the Tourney to report...??

Re: Welsh Open
You know, Jay, ive really been blessed with travelling over to the other side of the world and playing.Ive been fortunate in that ive got a pretty good husband who allows my freedom to do that sort of thing.Mind you i allow his freedom too.Hes doing the route 66 across America on his motorbike in 2012,so hes making preparations for that, but we are only middleclass people,so we save for what we do,and appreciate it all the more.
But meeting likeminded people from all over the world is amazing, and worth saving up and doing.I find when i do go, i come back inspired and determined to do better next time. That lasts for about 6 weeks lol, then i slip back into my old patterns.
But for all checker players out there,id recommend getting out of your comfort zone and taking a chance and travelling to distant lands to play.

Many thanks John. I provided the information from memory which is appalling these days. I will amend the above results right away.
