District tourney info help...joining

I will be driving from NJ to NC for the districts..ive made arrangements to get out of work and everything..im excited for this..can anyone give me the run down and step by step on joining..this is my official 1st ever tournament..any help is appreciated..thank you..

ok..the times coming..what are the steps i have to make..to get into this tournament..i dont wanna be too little too late john..can u pls give me some tips..thank u

Hi, Bobby !

what are the steps i have to make

1. Make hotel reservation in advance and find roomate to save some bucks.

2. Print directions on Mapqiuest and find out how long it take for you to get there.

3. Schedule you departure day and time.

4. Take approximately $60-$80 cash with you.

5. Pack everything in the car day before you leave.

6. Take some checkers books with you.

7. Get all phones (hotel, organisers, etc) printed or written down and have them with you.

8. Take pen and notebook with you to record your games.

9. Have our sell phone charged along with shaver.

Thats what I always do before going to checkers event along with buying extra cigaret packs
