I have to admit Ingo you are right i may have been a bit rash in what i said, however the situation remains of pple writing rules that are not "do-able" or there is no one to there to enforce them,as was pointed out in this debate several times .Rules such as these just relieve the WCDF of any little credit they may have, at best and at worst make them look foolish, and i cautioned against this long before the Ty started.Try keep in mind this is the World semi final, after Beijing things needed tightening up and they have but there is much work to be done,so little workers, and very little brain power.Dont forget Ingo you are the very man who pointed out these discrepencies and rightly so.Of course the travisty of it all is that the lady in question came almost 1/2 way round the world to take part at great expense and my personal opinion is that players deserve more respect from the rule makers, but for this lady in question that is now too late as she wont be back, that is the tragedy.

And for the other lady in question who im sure has done NOTHING wrong ,her good name has been trailed thru the mud and a slur been put on the character...........forever.

Well King looks The King with his ability to get 4 pointers that is really the difference even in this field. Shane needs the luck of the Gods and a Wilderness/Twilight Zone or something now? ...........can he do it?/ YES HE CAN.................Cmon ye bhoye...............its time for the "kitchen sink".

PS...........or is my prediction coming true, has Shane won it for Ron by beating Borghetti??

Tommy

You could be wrong there , as if Shane does us proud and kicks King into touch with an albeit insuffisant 3/1 and Borghetti gets 4 then it's all to play!!!!

Come on Shane !!! Kick some more

Apparently Ron won the 1st and Missed a win in the 2nd with Borgetti, then going into a loss himself!!!!!!!!!!!finishing up a game each,so King missed splitting the field there...hmmmm could cost him at worst at best keep the field tight.

Well done to Shane not losing any games in the QT fantastic display by him,in the 8days play overall losing one game to Shabshai.

Now Borghetti must get a win in the final game and if he does will it be honor pts?Sorre Bonne or what?

FOR YOUR INFORMATION............................Appendix 3. – General Tournament Regulations

3.1 Tie breaks available for tournaments are............................

3.1.1 Mini League. This is a comparison between players on the same points. The results against each of the other tied players form a mini league the players being ordered accordingly. Should a mini league not be possible due to one or more players having not played or if ties are still apparent then ties are broken as below,

3.1.2 Sonneborn-Berger. This is the sum of each opponent’s score multiplied by the points scored against that opponent. The resulting total is ordered highest through lowest to determine ranking, otherwise if ties remain then proceed below,

3.1.3 Playoff. A playoff should be arranged by the referee under the remit of the event. If the playoff is to determine a result at the event then a succession of sets of games played at a faster rate as determined by the referee applies.

No - the Sonneborn Berger or Hon Pts count first.

If still even then Rapid play applies.
