Ingo, My friend, Same rules apply here as any other tourney. 156 move ballot. You get the opening of your choice! Fortune is down to the player handling the red pieces.

Well as Halloween draws ever closer im not going to pull any false faces Ingo,i will let those with more knowledge reply to your post...and Happy Halloween to all.
Becasue what might be an "apparent" blunder after being in a win to you ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
It was actually Shane and Myles who were of this opinion.
As for the Borg/King games id say that is the property of the WCDF (i wouldnt be privy to them not being in the Wcdf)....would you think?

Re: IRISH OPEN /QUALIFER 2010
Ron told me he saw two ways to win, bth 25-22 and 26-22, but in reality only 26-22 will win. He said he showed this win to the WQT Champ right after they had played the game. I would also argue that both Shane McCosker and Michael Shabsai are NOT equally hard to beat since Shane is the only one that never lost a game!

Re: IRISH OPEN /QUALIFER 2010
Tommy, the beginning of any failure is an appatent assumption.
Maybe Ron King assumed that the position was a complete win, but apparently it was not, as there was a way to lose it.
And the master is not the one that knows that it is a win, as any students could know that as it has been shown to them.
The master is the one that knows how to win, ie that finds it.
I am just a bad student, so I want to be shown how it happend.
Greetinx,
Ingo

Re: IRISH OPEN /QUALIFER 2010
From a Hotel in Leeds,I want to offer my congratulations to Michelle, a truly fine man and player, may he have great success in his pursuit for the top next year. Also my congratulations to Toyeva. We were equal in points, but she gained 1 extra point playing Kim in the last morning.
I think Kim is going to print out the crosstables on here. She talked about it.I also think for myself im done with womens checkers and would like to participate in the mens in future matches. In the meantime im having a great time in England, tomorrow i travel to Edinburgh. Looking forward to it.
Thankyou Irish players for showing us a great time. The Irish open was such a fun time. Theyre a great bunch.regards Jan Mortimer

Several photos from Igor Martinov. Igor also published very interesting colourful observation of his trip and play in Dublin on Russian checkers site I copied several photos from his post here.

An english version of his report will be published soon.
Greetinx from cloudy Germany,
Ingo Zachos
P.S:
Note how close Michele is watching the game between Michael and Roberto.
As if he knew he had to beat Michael twice in the last round.

Here are some pictures of the Irish Open QT which Kim took or someone she knew. They downloaded them to
SkyDrive. I download the images so you can view them indefinitely from NC website under the 2010 Irish event. You don't have to worry about SkyDrive deleting the files after 06/02/2011. This was setup to share thru Windows.
