What do you like about checkers?: I enjoy learning more and more as i go. despite its alleged simplicity the game is incredibly complex and rewarding.

Checkers Down Under

Post by Danny_Alvarez »

Greetings fellow checker players, I am looking for any players or any details of the federation in Australia. In lieu of that I am looking for advice on how I would go about setting it up. I am an average checker player, but a lover of the game and I think it's tragic that there are no tournaments in Australia.

A few years ago I found a kind soul in MSN Zone(i think his name was Jo, can't remember the surname) who sent me a copy of Lee's Guide and a couple of Wiswells he was Australian but i lost touch.

I am a long time lurker of this forum, but for one reason or another I havent participated in checkers for the last couple of years.

Regards

I used to play Joe in gaming zone, but then he disappeared. He was kind to me too,and a great player he was,Bavali no longer plays checkers,i havent seen her for a few years now.Hope you can get a group together for australia, that would be so good.I sent you a message on here about another Australian player.
