I hope that some how, some way, someone or something will make it possible to watch this match as it is being played.....
I don't necessarily mean live video stream from the match...., perhaps even just someone posting the moves...(say on two characters created at KURNIK). Set it up for a reasonable fee, perhaps a $10 dollar fee to watch....It is the new millenium, let's utilize the tools available whenever possible.

Just want to inform you that in difference with my previous matches with Ron King, bidding process for this match (2011) started much earlier. Hopefully in best case of scenario we should have complete finalize bid in the next 4-6 weeks.

The rumors say that Miki is also hard smoker and ... maybe first time in history of checkers 3-moves world title matches we'll have 100% smoking match

It would be easy enough to set up at http://www.ustream.tv/. UStream already hosts lots of sports and entertainment events, and allows users to record the stream for later viewing (which would deal with some of the time zone issues). And if we could train the referee to maintain the feed, we wouldn't need an extra dedicated spectator.

Sune Thrane already has such a system which he used in several of the Danish Open Tournaments.

Yes, and the FID transmited the games of the Italian championships and also of the Nations Cup 2009, if you remember, by webcam.

I just hope Alex and Michele have enough ties to look good and that they don't smoke, as this affects the quality of the transmission

I am sure that this match will have live coverage of the games, so that we can discuss the game on the ACF Forum immediately while they are being played.

BTW: Is there any chatroom for checker/draughts fans to discuss the games while they are being played?
