Checkers clock for iPhone

Post by Omar »

Dear Checkers and Draughts players,

We recently released an iPhone app that serves as a simple, easy to use game clock with support for common Checkers time controls as well as Draughts and several other games. Search for 'a1 game clock' in the app store. It is free to download and try and just $1 to purchase.

The app already include many common time controls used in Checkers. We are looking for suggestions on additional time controls and features you would like to see. We hope to make this the best app for keeping time in Checkers games. Please try it out and let us know what additional features you would like to see. There is a support link in the app for sending us feedback. Or you can post here and I'll check back. We would be happy to hear from you. Thanks.

What do you like about checkers?: I enjoy learning more and more as i go. despite its alleged simplicity the game is incredibly complex and rewarding.

Omar i am downloading the app as we speak and i will test it..... despite the fact that i am in the middle of nowhere and my closest player is probably 3 hours by plane. I will have a game against myself and ill see how it goes (i beat myself every now and then ROFL, u should see the ruccus we cause when we accuse each other of checker pinching) .

Anyway enough sillyness.... i will give u feedback and i wish u all the best in ur app developing endeavours :)

Hi Omar to be honest with you with the end of year holidays and taking care of business + family commitments i havent had a real chance to run it and check all the features, i turn it on the first day i downloaded the app and it was confusing , i wish it was easier to set the timer from scratch ....

i tried to set a 5/2 match and i couldnt do it. 5/2 is 5 minutes to each side with 2 second increments after each move. maybe i didnt do it properly or maybe i should play with it a bit more till i familiarize myself with it. for now my comment is it should be easier to set up . i will check it out more now that i am back to work.
once again thanks for spending money and time developing apps for checkers and chess.

cheers,
