Re: womens world match
Lindus, I do hope you reconsider, as the ACF Forum is the de facto world forum for Anglo-American Checkers. You are a gentleman, and your tribute to your father is a classic, we all got to know him through your article in Wyllie Draughts.

You have been a much needed advocate for womens checkers. If the FMJD can have a Womens Checkers Championship, then so can the WCDF. I like your sense of humor, and your knowledge of the grand old game is second to none. --George Hay

Re: womens world match
Hi George,
Thank you so very much for the kind words. I appreciate this very much.
Over a period of about eighteen months I spent an enormous amount of my time attempting to help the women's three-move world championship match take place, involving the exchange of hundreds of emails. I do not begrudge a moment of my time providing this assistance as it was, and still is, my fervent hope that the world championship match will take place this year. Realistically I do not see this happening however, at least for the whole of the foreseeable future. Hence my suggestion, along with a number of others, that the world three- move women's championship be played every four years under tournament conditions (perhaps over twenty games in five days) and that the freestyle world championship be played in the same way, thus providing the ladies with a great event to look forward to every two years.
Doubtless I will receive an avalanche of criticism for proffering this advice, but I am well-acquainted as it were with the sticks and arrows at this Forum! From messages I have received at this and several other sites the overwhelming consensus of opinion is that the women's world championship should be decided henceforth by tournament play.
My suggestion is ONLY that and I feel that if any person becomes hot under the collar as a consequence then he or she should sit back, calm down and think about what I and so many others are merely suggesting in the interest of the dear ladies.
Just a few words – for the moment! I shall return.....
Best wishes,
Lindus.

I know full well how both Liam and Lindus and John Guetta were all so supportive in trying to get a womens match going when it was my turn.Lindus compiled all the correspondence for me which was a mammoth task, and is indeed a great supporter of womens checkers as is Liam Stephens and John, and ill always be grateful to them for trying.

Hello !!!
Yes,I'm Toyeva Hurmagul.
Thanks everyone very much who interested in here and your care, commentaries about my world match...!!!
I want to play that match very much, but no any organisation, and I don't have any information about what can I do in order to be that match...?! I respected the WCDF ever, but that is strange if the respectful, authoritative, famous WCDF can't organise that match...
