:) patience is a virtue.... or so i am told...
i do not have any patience yet but the universe is obsessed with teaching me how to be patient...
i wonder if i could buy some patience at COSTCO i am told its coming to brisbane in a few months....
as i have always said i am dying to go and buy a few gallons of peanut butter ... or patience for that matter.

cheers

very simple explanation..... ignore the WCDF ratings completely as they are so damned dusty they might as well be relics....
no disrespect intended towards anybody..... just stating what i consider to be a fact.

I am told we will have WCDF ratings soon. Hugh Devlin was giving the report a final review.

John,

I can't speak for other exec members, but I would be open to using whatever list we have that is fairly up-to-date and credible, and perhaps both lists could be consulted, if need be. Even when this WCDF rating list comes out, I suspect it will cover checker events through December 2010 and will not include 2011 events until the next report. I also hear Igor switched from Glico to ELO.

This list now appears on WCDF site, and does include several 2011 events.
http://wcdf.wz.cz/ratings.htm. Many thanks to Igor Keder for working on this amid some serious hardhships with his home & family.

I can help you. he played in USA vs Barbados International Team match in 2004 (on Barbados) and did quite well. If I am not mistaken - he scored more than 50% points. This is the only rating event where he played.

There are more relatively 'inactive players" on this list. But I can see some improvements even though my rating dropped  If Igor switched to ELO - it was a smart solution indeed and I only don't understand why he didn't do this several years ago when I suggested him to do this ... wasting time and nervious

Respectfully,

Good evening everyone

I see from ratings that my last ty. was in 2009, which means without any tournament activity since, I have hit 3rd spot!!!!!

I feel a bit awkward about this, and I ask myself whether a more balanced way of ratings should not be found.

As a player I can imagine the deception felt by those players who have attended at least one ty. since last ratings but who have been "punished", because they love playing the game.

More so when they win!!!! They expect to go up!!!! NOT down!!!

I would like to apologize to all for being where I am without having even touched a board in 2 years.

I would nevertheless encourage all who work towards this final goal of a perfect system. Without these guys it would all have to be done from scratch.

William
